The fastest way to improve a rhinestone template often happens before you press Generate. Cleaner source artwork gives each stone position a clearer job.
1. Pick the right starting image
For predictable results, favor bold shapes, clear outlines and large separated color areas. Logos, clipart and simple illustrations are often easier than low-contrast photographs.
2. Remove unnecessary backgrounds
If the subject is surrounded by clutter, crop tightly or remove the background with an editor. For transparent PNG artwork, check that no hidden background remains around the edges.
3. Simplify colors and shadows
Try a few distinct tones rather than every gradient or subtle shadow. A two- or three-color version can communicate the same design with fewer confusing color changes.
4. Thicken weak lines
Hairline strokes, thin letters and narrow dividers may be smaller than one stone at the final size. Enlarge important details or create a thicker simplified outline.
5. Export a clean source file
Save your prepared artwork as a supported image type for your build. Keep a separate original, so you can return to it later.
Try the same artwork at two levels of detail. If the simpler version gives a more recognizable outline and cleaner spacing, use it as your production source.
Common questions
Do I need a transparent background?
Not always. It often helps isolate artwork, but a solid high-contrast background can be useful for some workflows. Inspect the preview for unwanted stones around the subject.
Will a higher-resolution photo fix poor results?
Resolution helps only when the details themselves are clear. A complicated photo may still need cropping, simplification or fewer color regions.
